Jim barges into Spock's quarters to show off his ratborg countermeasure, and they end up talking about the time difference between them-- but only a little bit.

After hearing all that Raven-- no, that Mystique had to say on the topic of his future as a crusader for mutant rights, Erik found himself unable to resist the temptation to see what more the station's computer database could tell him. The terminal in his own room had malfunctioned during the days when half the station's occupants had gone off on a jaunt to Venice (which, although he may not have made much time for sightseeing during his own travels through Europe, he had to admit he regretted the missed opportunity) and had not worked quite right since. So he took himself to one of the common areas, although it took him a few tries to find one that was unoccupied, and claimed the chair in front of the terminal there.

He called up the search function and drummed his fingers lightly against the tabletop, trying to think of what to look for. Mystique had told him about the Brotherhood, and that seemed a likely search, but it was really his own story he wanted to know-- his path from being one man looking for vengeance to a name feared by every anti-mutant sympathizer in the world. How did he take five wary allies and turn them into a force equal to the power of Xavier's fortunate sons? When he had left Washington, that had seemed nearly impossible.

In the end Erik kept it simple, and searched his own name. He was surprised how many items came up. Video clips, newspaper articles, police reports-- Mystique had been right when she talked about the scope of his plans for mutantkind. The amount of information was almost staggering, and clearly spanned decades.

With a wry thought for what Charles might have had to say on the subject of his megalomania, Erik picked the first entry on the list and started reading.
