Agent of SHIELD explores things -shock!
Jun. 21st, 2012 11:42 amIt may be a personality defect, but Sharon Carter is physically incapable of taking other peoples' word on just about anything. So when someone tells the story about the initial group's exploration of the mainframe, she has to see it herself. She's fairly tech-adept, and might notice something that an old lady from the WWI era or a vampire might not have.
She's not totally reckless about it, of course. She outfits herself as best she can with "weapons" from the sparring room, feeling pretty wimpy with a baseball bat in her hand rather than a gun.
The elevator is easy enough to find, and she has a creepy feeling that she could just ask out loud if she got lost. There 's something about the station that feels too conscious for her taste. Something that gives her a mild continuous case of the creeping willies.
Might even be making her naturally taut reflexes err on the side of jumpy, because when she hears a noise behind her, she swings at it, hard.
[feel free to duck, cause we don't need any concussions here]
