Abed is dressed in a very peculiar manner for anyone used to his geeky tee-shirts. The tweed jacket is grey, and the tweed trousers are a darker shade, with a simple shirt and charcoal tie to complete the look. It looks nerdy more than his usual geeky, and it's very clear to anyone looking at him that he's playing a part. He's quietly flirtatious with women (and, some would say, men too), and he looks normal, and even charming. And, of course, he is speaking with an English accent, and using all sorts of sixties slang, but otherwise sounds like a perfectly adjusted member of society, albeit one that probably loves grad students.

The slang phrase he uses right then, as he looks around the room with a small smile, is a single word. "Groovy."
