PORT ROYAL DOCKING PLOT : POST 1
At the university, Halloween was second only to April Fools' Day for people playing pranks on each other, so I woke up on Halloween morning ready to be on my guard. I figured whatever the station had in mind for us (if anything) it wasn't likely to be something I'd find funny, and I wanted to be ready for it, whatever it was.
It hadn't occurred to me that what the station had in store for us wouldn't be something that occurred on board. I hadn't expected the station docking announcement to play, and I sure as hell hadn't expected the world to dissolve around me when I was halfway to the hub to see what was up. I'd never transported before-- it had always been my choice, before, and I'd never planned on going anywhere the other guy might make a mess if I could help it-- but I had just enough time to figure out what the lurching feeling in my stomach probably signified before the station walls vanished.
When I blinked away the sun glare I found myself staring out a window at a bustling city full of people dressed like they were definitely not from 2012. "Well, this is... interesting," I said, turning around to the roomful of Proserpinians who'd apparently been selected to join me on my little day trip.

She turned around and presented Abed with her back. "Do me up, tight on top, loose at the bottom."
Hey, anyone can pull laces, just not the ones at your own back.

"Because we're in the movies. I just saw two of the characters walk down the street," he explains, but he doesn't say their names, because he doubts that Jo Harvelle knows their names. They're tertiary characters at best, after all.

"I am so in need of some knives. Definitely have to swing by the blacksmith shop." Her grin was huge. Hey, she was a red blooded girl. Men ogled all the time.
They didn't know a timeframe yet. "The guys you saw... living or undead?"
Jo smiled a thanks at Abed and wiggled about, checking movement and efficiency. Not too bad.

But then he adds, to make sure she isn't going to go and... well, ruin William for Elizabeth is one way to put it, "It's probably best not to disturb the events of the movies."
And then only he thinks to check his communicator, and yes, here's a message, a picture. "We might be here in time for that attack."

She knew Ms. Swann at this point came across as a polite and demure thing. Not something Jo could pull off for long even if she wanted to.
"I wouldn't mind checking out the Navy's finest, either. Norrington was looking good. Unfortunately, he isn't all scruffed up yet." Jo put her fists to her hips. "Abed, you may be used to everything around you being from movies or books and crap. I won't ruin the plot or shout spoilers, but I plan on enjoying being tossed into a damn good movie. And that includes enjoying every ounce of the scenery. Because before this is over there's going to be blood and screaming and explosions. Just because that's what happens when we go on these little trips."

At an opportune moment, one could even say.
